Life Blues

Life Blues! Can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without them. Where would the world be without life blues? For starters, how boring would music be if you didn’t have the blues to write and sing about? Here, in Life Blues I write about the daily grind and the things that give everyone the blues. That’s a big category! – It is, but I’ll get to them all… eventually. Life blues isn’t about the true horror in life inflicted on people by other people. That is a category all it’s own dealt with in Real Talk. Life Blues is more about the growing pains we all have to endure from birth to death. Life blues can be both good and bad. Bad when you are living them, but good for having survived them to live another day as it makes you more empathetic (or at least it should). Friedrich Nietzche’s*, famous quote, “that which does not kill you, makes you stronger”, can technically be rewritten to state that which does not kill you makes you stronger, or gives you the inspiration to write an awesome Grammy-winning song.” Personally, I wasn’t born in a box-car, but I am a man on a journey…
