If one chooses to believe in a mythical Paradise, and if one wishes to reach Paradise, one must first travel through the crazy that life is. Thus, you can say, (given traveling directions), Paradise is West of Crazy. If on your travels through life you happened to stop by W.O.C. – Cheers!

Missed Opportunity
Enclosed is a real email I received from the Papa John’s Pizza chain. The email was in response to an order I had placed. It was the first time I had ordered pizza from them since I don’t know how long, so I’m not exactly a “regular” customer.
Hand-Washing Anxiety Disorder
I am writing this note to thank the corporate decision-making gurus behind this sign (see above), for posting specific step-by-step instructions on proper handwashing procedures. Now, customers like me, who suffer from Hand-washing Anxiety Disorder (H.A.D.) can rest easy knowing that the dreaded fear of washing one’s hands after doing one’s business is something we don’t have to worry about anymore!!
My Judgement Day
Strange as my life has been, it has gotten stranger. I have recently died and now sit in the grand lobby of the afterlife waiting to see God. I am not nervous. As a matter of fact, I am eerily calm. For all the dumb shit I did in my life I should be nervous; everything is on the line. I may be granted entrance into Heaven per God’s grace, or I may be condemned to eternal hell – flippin’ burgers 24-7 in Hell’s Kitchen, with no union breaks.
Buffalo Soldiers – A Tribute
Prior to becoming a full-fledged teacher, I started out as a teacher’s assistant working at a school for students with emotional disabilities. Being a school that is specialized in helping students with behavioral issues, a less stringent dress code was in place to create a more comfortable atmosphere.
Samurai Marathon
There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of Samurai movies made. From the American perspective, when the genre Best Samurai Movie is introduced as a topic, I would imagine a majority of theorists would immediately argue for the brilliant movie, The Seven Samurai, written and directed by Akira Kurosawa. At least the classicalist would.
Shining Star In Brazil
Years ago there was a talent show on American television called The X-Factor, produced by Simon Cowell. Many who are reading this are most likely familiar with the show. It only lasted 3 seasons in the U.S., but up until this current year, the show still aired in Great Britain. Of all the amateur singing-shows on T.V., The X-Factor appealed to me the most (although the show The Voice is also a very entertaining talent show which is still running strong).

When people hear the word “eating”, the image of civility is usually the first to be conjured up. However, eating is actually broken into categories. The first category is what I refer to as habit eating. It is the daily regimen of eating up to 2000 calories of food per day, as established by the original design. It contains two sub-categories; informal and formal habit eating.

I’ve never had my ship together, ever! Everytime I attempt to get my ship together, part of me inevitably sails off. Be it an emotional, social, physical, spiritual, sexual, or a financial issue, inevitably someone sits in the corner all by itself at the “feeling good party”, brooding and worrying about what if.
