Australia

Hello everyone! Welcome to “West of Crazy!” The title is a symbolic reference representing any location on earth. It is meant to convey the path one must take as you travel through life. If one chooses to believe in a mythical Paradise, and if one wishes to reach Paradise, one must first travel through the Crazy that life is. Thus, you can say, (given travel direction), “Paradise” is “West of Crazy”. This is not a theological website. I write stories, mostly from a satirical perspective about the absurdities in life, past and present. In this particular section, I invite guest writers from Australia for the purpose to share positive perspectives on life from a viewpoint that is outside America. I hope you enjoy “West of Crazy”. Cheers!

A Teacher’s Advice

A Teacher’s Advice

Have you ever experienced a teacher making you feel miserable 😭 because you’ve made a mistake?

Having worked as a teacher for 12 years in private and state schools, both online and in-person, I have noticed one common mistake in all schools. And it doesn’t matter where a school is, or what nationality the students are! 🤔

Samurai Marathon

Samurai Marathon

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of Samurai movies made. From the American perspective, when the genre Best Samurai Movie is introduced as a topic, I would imagine a majority of theorists would immediately argue for the brilliant movie, The Seven Samurai, written and directed by Akira Kurosawa. At least the classicalist would.

Shining Star In Brazil

Shining Star In Brazil

Years ago there was a talent show on American television called The X-Factor, produced by Simon Cowell. Many who are reading this are most likely familiar with the show. It only lasted 3 seasons in the U.S., but up until this current year, the show still aired in Great Britain. Of all the amateur singing-shows on T.V., The X-Factor appealed to me the most (although the show The Voice is also a very entertaining talent show which is still running strong).
